Woo tabs not working properly…
-
Hello there,
We seem to be experiencing some technical difficulties tonight with the Woo Tabs widget on our website, The Hudsucker. It started to display our “popular/latest posts” like this: http://i.imgur.com/PBOhIGS.jpg
We deleted the widget and put it in again, and it worked. However, upon refreshing, it still does what the image link shows. It’s not just my computer either. My editors have seen it on their end as well. In the meantime, we have put another widget in its place but were hoping to use the Woo Tabs widget as it complements our theme.
Any idea what could be the problem with the widget? We would greatly appreciate some assistance on this matter.

The widget problem you describe is also happening currently on the Bold News demo site. https://boldnewsdemo.wordpress.com/
Since Bold News is a Premium theme and has its own Support forum, you’ll want to post there if you haven’t. https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/bold-news
You will need to be logged in with the username account that purchased the theme in order to post there.

Thanks for letting us know. I’ve reported this to the theme developers and will let you know whenever we have it fixed so you can add the widget back. :)

I reported the comment issue in this other forum thread as well. I’m closing that thread to keep communication simple. :)

Thank you so much, Alex! I greatly appreciate the help. I look forward to your updates and this issue getting fixed so we can finally get our site to looking like how it was. :)

Hello again,
Both the comment and Woo tabs issued are fixed now. :)
Thanks again for the report!

Hi Alex, thank you so much! I added the Woo tabs widget and it works—huzzah! :)
I wanted to ask though, how come the site title and tagline are smooshed together? http://i.imgur.com/AqgwJiB.jpg
It never use to be like that. They were appropriately spaced out when viewing tab information in browsers, but now it seems they are not. I’m not sure what’s causing that. I’ve seen it on our site, and on the Bold News demo too. https://boldnewsdemo.wordpress.com
I checked in General Settings that the site title and tagline have no other characters creating that affect. Any clues?

The space between site title and tagline in the browser tab is now fixed as well. :)
Thank you for all your reports, and please let me know if you see anything else out of place!

Hi Alex! You’ve been so helpful and thank you for prompt responses. While I’ve been playing around with the site and checking everything out, I have noticed that the comments are still a little off. For some strange reason, instead of noting the user’s name, it’s writing their names as http://Lydia, or http://ReneD. You can see that here: http://wp.me/p2NIjr-1OC
It goes for all comments on various posts. The Gravatars load correctly (as seen here: http://wp.me/p2NIjr-3gW) but they all have a “http://” in the place of user’s name and some users don’t even have names.

Commenters names are now back to normal. :)
Thanks again for all the reports, and apologies again for Bold News being out-of-sorts the last couple days. Let me know if you find anything else, and we’ll handle it as they come!

Thank you, Alex! No need for apologies. These things happen. Thanks so much though for helping us out and getting it back to normal, and especially so quickly. It is greatly appreciated! I’ve been playing with it today, and so far, so good. Everything is going smoothly! :)
