  I’d like to get a free trial of WooCommerce. I am still not sure if this is the platform I need and I’d like to test it out before purchasing.

  I understand you want to explore WooCommerce before committing, and I’d be happy to guide you about that as a fellow WordPress.com user.

  I also understand that you might have tried to access it within your WP dashboard yourself and are unable to start the free trial. No problem, I’ll try my best to help.

  It’s actually a direct and easy process but not from within the dashboard. Follow these steps to get it done(Make sure that you are logged in with your WP account already):

  1. Go to this page: https://woocommerce.com/start/#start
  2. Click on the first option of “I want to start selling online”
  3. Choose “WordPress.com” here.
  4. Click on “Start your free trial today“
  5. Click on “A new store for myself”
  6. Choose required details on further pages carefully. Optional details can be ignored for now.
  7. You will be able to proceed ahead with the free trial this way.
  8. At the last page, it might take a bit long to setup the Woocommerce shop for you. Let it do the magic,
  9. If it does not load itself properly, then simply reload the page.
  10. Voilà!! That’s it! Your WooCommerce trial should be started now.
