  I just discovered WooCommerce a couple of days ago and asked them a question, but they referred me back to WP.

  I would be interested in starting a store here, selling .STL files and PDFs. WC told me the files would be stored at the hosting company’s server (in this case, I guess WP), which begs the question, is that doable? Can WP host files to be sold, and, if so, how would I go about setting that up?

  To use WooCommerce on WordPress.com you will need a business plan.

  Once you have a business plan and have installed WooCommerence you simply create a new product and mark it as a downloadable product and add the file. It is very easy to set up.

  The file is hosted by WordPress and a copy of the file will automatically be sent to the buyer.
