WooCommerce causing website to crash

  I have recently been on the GoDaddy online chat which is who I purchased WordPress through. The WooCommerce plugin update was causing my site to crash. They advised using an FTP to update the plugin however i have never used this and am unsure how.

  If you have WooCommerce installed on a WordPress.com Business Plan or have a paid WooCommerce extension on a self-hosted site you can open a ticket while logged into your account at:

  https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

  But, if your site is self-hosted and built using the WordPress.org open software, you’ll need to seek assistance from their forums which can be found at:

  https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce

  I see that you have Jetpack installed, but these forums are for WordPress.com hosted websites. If you want to know the difference between the two, you can find more information in this document:
