WooCommerce Disappeared

We updated our site yesterday and afterwards, WooCommerce and all of our products disappeared. It’s gone from the dashboard and the Plugins page. I tried to reinstall Woocommerce and get this message.

    Destination folder already exists.
    Plugin install failed.

I am a complete newb and have no idea how to access or mess with PHP files or a lot of the other technical stuff I’ve seen posted.

    My website is http://www.phschobbies

Hi there, since your site is self-hosted, the best place to post would be in the WooCommerce plugin support forum at WordPress.org.

The reason for the error is that the folder that WooCommerce would install into already exists in your folder structure at your web host.

One way to get around this would be to manually install the plugin via FTP as explained in this support document.

Another way, if you have a cPanel with your web hosting would be to go into the file manager and then into the wp-content/plugins folder and delete the WooCommerce plugin and then go back into your dashboard to Plugins > Add New and reinstall it. Hopefully the database entries are all still there.

For general questions with self-hosted sites, you can seek help in the WordPress.org forums.
