    At this beginning stage I just want to test a few themes and make my site as I want without having to pay for it. But I can’t seem to get around anything without being asked to buy a plan and this is before I even get to do anything. I’ve read everywhere that it is free but I am immediately pushed to a paid plan.

    Hi @lalrincl, WooCommerce and WordPress are both free software, but hosting generally is not free, especially high quality managed hosting. And you’ll want to note WooCommerce has paid extensions you can use for customizing your store, too.

    If you’re looking for a free trial, though, this offer may work for you.

    I’d recommend that, and you’ll also want to jump in and watch a webinar on setting up your store so you’ll have a solid foundation. Hoping this helps!
