Hi there,
At WordPress.com, we offer two plans that are specifically designed to accommodate WooCommerce stores: our Business and Commerce plans. Both of these plans come with dedicated WooCommerce support, available 24/7 via live chat. Our team of experts is always ready to help with any issues your developer might encounter.
In addition to our dedicated WooCommerce support, our WordPress.com infrastructure is designed to handle all the technical aspects of your online store. This means we take care of updates, maintenance, and security, allowing you to focus on operating and growing your business. With WordPress.com, you can have peace of mind knowing that your store is running on a reliable and secure platform.
If you have any more questions or would like assistance in choosing the plan that’s right for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re always here to help, and we look forward to working with you and your developer.

Subject: Request for WooCommerce Support on Self-Hosted Server and Staging Site Inquiry
Dear fstat,
Thank you for your prompt response. I appreciate the information about the Business and Commerce plans offered by WordPress.com. However, I would like to clarify that my current WooCommerce store is hosted on my server with Amazon Web Services (AWS), not on WordPress.com.
The main issue I am facing is that my developer requires guidance on resolving some technical issues with my WooCommerce store, specifically integrating PayPal as a payment option on a custom checkout page alongside Stripe Elements in our staging environment.
I understand that you provide dedicated WooCommerce support for the Business and Commerce plans. My questions are:
- Can I still receive assistance from your WooCommerce engineers while my store is hosted on my own server with AWS?
- If not, is it possible to create a staging site on your platform (WordPress.com) and have your team assist us with fixing the issues there? Once the issues are resolved, we would then push the changes to the live site hosted on our own server.
Your advice and guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. We are looking for the best way to receive the support we need while minimizing disruptions to our live site.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,

Hey there,
Thanks for getting back to us.
- Can I still receive assistance from your WooCommerce engineers while my store is hosted on my own server with AWS?
For the WooCommerce plugin itself, it’s possible to seek help here: https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/
They wouldn’t be present in these forums necessarily to help.
If there’s a specific add-on in use, the right help can be found on that WooCommerce plugin page.
- If not, is it possible to create a staging site on your platform (WordPress.com) and have your team assist us with fixing the issues there? Once the issues are resolved, we would then push the changes to the live site hosted on our own server.
Using WordPress.com as a staging site is always possible, and with regards to fixing issues, it would depend on the issue itself and which plugin it relates to…That said, we certainly provide more support than self-hosted hosting providers, because we’re a managed solution.
If we can’t fix the issue, we can certainly arm you with enough information and error codes to take to the developer to get that fixed quickly.
These chapters here, explain more about the scope of support we provide: https://wordpress.com/support?s=scope%20of%20support%20&group_id=blog_id%3A9619154
I hope this is all useful information for you!
