WooCommerce Shop and Checkout page drop down menus glitchy and ineffective/not helpful

For my WooCommerce shop, I’m selling t-shirts and I have drop down menus set up to select sizes. Also, on the checkout page, when customers enter their shipping and contact information, there’s dropdown menus to select their State, as well as their Country/Region. My problem is that when you go to these three drop down menus to make a selection, the options don’t show up. You have to hover over the options for them to appear. When selecting State and Country/Region, it’s even more confusing and difficult because it’s really glitchy and when you hover over the options you can’t even see the words at all so you kind of have no idea what you’re even clicking. At least with the sizes, when you hover over it the S, M, L, etc. letters appear. I can provide pictures if my explanation doesn’t make sense. Please help!! I can’t find a solution to this problem anywhere.
