WooCommerce: Show product category dropdown widget when in subcategory
-
I have the following product category tree in one site I’m developing:
– Books
— Art
— Design
— Fashion
— Architecture
– Toys
– Movies
– Music
I only show the product category dropdown widget when in the ‘Books’ category with the ‘Show children only’ setting active (to remove categories unrelated to books from the dropdown) so clients can filter by book subject. That is:– Books
— Art
— Design
— Fashion
— Architecture
The thing is that when I’m in one of the ‘Books’ subcategories (‘Art’, ‘Design’, ‘Fashion’ or ‘Architecture’) the product category dropdown widget disappears and the client has to go back to the ‘Books’ category if he wants to select another ‘Books’ subcategory. -
