  Hi,

  Can you please explain whether it will be possible to start using WordAds in foreseeable future?

  And is it possible to add advertisements to a wordpress.com blog without WordAds?

  No. That is not allowed and doing so is a Terms of Service violation that results in blog suspension.

  The only advertising program at WordPress.COM is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.

  There is no cost involved in this aside from purchasing a domain mapping upgrade $18 per year. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/ Aside from that your site will need to demonstrate a significant traffic flow to qualify for acceptance into WordAds.
