Word Ads Question/Approval
-
I was flagged months ago for having nudity on my site, and was told I would not be approved due to the nudity. I went through the site and cleaned it up, eliminating all nudity and making it more family friendly (as fam friendly as a horror movie site can be lol). I’ve since sent two emails in the attempt to get my site approved for WordAds, but both emails have gone completely ignored. I’d like to monetize the site as best I can, but I can’t do that without someone approving this. Can I perhaps finally get a little help on this? It would be greatly appreciated!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hopefully Everything You Wanted to Know About WordAds guide will answer your questions. Have you checked it already?
-
I’ve read it and I’ve obliged. I’ve also sent more than a single email to support, but they’re now being ignored, which is why I posted here in the hopes that someone will actually approve the wordads.

We did send a reply to your last email. Here it is:
Our advertising partners do have a minimum traffic threshold. Looking at your page views, it’s not possible to earn meaningful earnings given your traffic levels. A site generally needs thousands of page views each month to earn meaningful earnings. As your traffic grows we will continue to apply to get ads activated, there is no need to re-apply.
For now, I recommend reading this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-more-views-and-traffic/
I want to strongly emphasize sharing your blog with your friends and family. If they like it, they’ll share it with their friends, and so on.

that was my initial attempt to be approved, my last two have been ignored. My site had 15k views last month, and it’s not the first month I’ve been well above 10k views.

how do I have my answer? That was a response from months ago, not the recent attempts to make contact.
-
Re-read the staff reply. He says that when and if you do qualify, you will be added to the program. You do not need to re-apply, therefore there has been no response to your re-application.

And what you’re not seeing is a follow up AFTER MY NUMBERS CLIMBED ENOUGH TO WARRANT APPROVAL (I KNOW because I have another blog that WAS approved), that says an issue with nudity in a post left me flagged and ineligible for Wordads. That was months ago, and I’ve since cleaned it up.
-
Your numbers have not yet climbed enough to warrant approval. It would appear as if they feel slightly after the nudity was removed.

But I had a blog approved after an 8k view month. My blog does more than 8k views monthly by a sizeable margin. Is this one of those “I don’t know exactly why your blog isn’t being approved, so I’ll go with the safe answer” type of situations (I’m not trying to be smart, I know sometimes some people just simply do not have the answers)?
It doesn’t make much sense that one blog would be approved after 50k total views on it, but another isn’t “climbing enough” after about 70k views. Is there just zero consistency to the process? And if 15k views a month doesn’t warrant WordAds approval (I’ve talked to two fellow bloggers who had their applications approved after averaging 10k hit months), is there an estimate for what DOES at this point in time? When my other site was still only pulling 15k monthly I was still earning in the 25-35/month range, and it would be nice to start somewhere with this one. I’m a bit thrown off by this, and no one seems to be able to give me a legitimately sound explanation.
Again, not trying to be a smart guy here, but this is a little odd, and inconsistent with what other bloggers, and I myself, have experienced.
Is there someone else that specializes in this that I can directly contact?
I appreciate the help man, and hope I’m not coming off like a total jerk!

Nope

It’s about total views in the past 30 days, not total lifetime views.

We can’t release the exact number, but I can say you’re very close.

I am sorry you are not happy with the answer, but really this is the answer.

You are speaking with the person who handles all of this right now.

You’re welcome!
Hang in there, you should be approved soon if your traffic continues to grow as it is. :)
