Word cannot register your account, or publish

  I have used Word 2013 to publish my blogs since Word 2013 was available. I already have my Blog account set up with Word to WordPress. http://Cann0nf0dder.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php

  However in November 2014 when I tried to publish my blog post, I got an error message saying unable to publish, and the more information button just takes me to Microsoft help page online, which doesn’t help. It started working again at end of December, but it seems to be happening again.

  I’ve tried using different PC’s, and different installation of Word but I’m getting the same message.

  If Word doesn’t have my blog account registered, and I try to register my account, (I’ve double, triple checked my username and password), ‘Word cannot register your account.’

  A friend of mine who also has a wordpress.com account is also experiencing the same problem, so I don’t think it is a isolated incident.

  Is this a MS Word issue, or WordPress issue? Please can someone help?

  I have the exact same problem, and it just happened to me in the last few hours (I know because I successfully posted an article at around 6 PM PST today).

  Hello, I have the same issue. Been using word 2013 without any issue but it no longers works now. I had to use livewriter instead as a workaround. Any suggestions for word ?

  Your blog URL is now https://cann0nf0dder.wordpress.com/
  Staff has been changing our URLs to the more secure https:// and I believe that could be the cause of your issue.

  You failed to provide a URL and there is no blog linked to your username.

  I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.

  I apologize. I didn’t realize I was supposed to provide a URL. Here it is:

  I will try to use https://weeklycomicbookreview.com/ and see if that works better.

  I am also having the same problem – I am using MS WORD 2013 – I posted very well in January 2015 and now in February 2015, ms word says it cannot link to WordPress – Please help

  Try https://kistensamy.wordpress.com as it may just be https.
