Word count in Block Editor

    Hi – can anyone tell me where I can find the word count for a piece written in the Block Editor. It was so useful in Classic editor when it was automatically visible.

    Try clicking on the i in a circle (dunno what the technical term is for that button) top left.

    Hi there,
    To see the number of words you have used in your page or post, click the information icon that looks like the letter i with a circle around it at the top left of the screen. This option shows on desktop only, not mobile.
    I hope this resolves your problem.

    Hi. Thanks for responding.

    Ah ok. I do much of my writing on mobile/android due to cognitive function. Looks like I’ll be switching between the two editors. I have only recently been using block editor and have just discovered this anomoly.
