How can I embedd a Word file into a post and not be LINKED. What I want to do is show a WORD flie but to be able to manipulate it. Is it possible and how.

There are a couple ways of doing this. One way would be to upload the document to Google Docs and then embed it from there. (It’s very easy, although I don’t think the wp.com support pages for the google doc shortcode are the clearest ones on the site.) http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-docs/ (Be aware: A) there’s an error on the page — a document can still be marked “private” and yet embedded, but wp.com says the opposite is true; B) they don’t say how the shortcode works, but you can actually use the iframe code generated by google docs & wp.com automatically replaces it with the correct form of the shortcode — I only learned that after having manually entered the shortcode.)
