Hi Marvin,
Welcome to WordPress. :)
You can filter for accessibility ready themes in our repository via the following link:
https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/accessibility-ready/type/free/
The latest default theme, Twenty Sixteen, is a great example of an accessibility ready theme and I can see you’re currently using it on your site.
For the moment, I recommend navigating WordPress via our older interface. You can access that interface by adding “/wp-admin” to the end of your site’s URL. Like so:
https://startrekcafe.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
That interface is tested regularly by a team of volunteers and accessibility experts. If you’d like to find out more about that community of volunteers then you can do so here:
https://make.wordpress.org/accessibility/
We’re working on making the new WordPress.com interface screen reader friendly also. If you have any suggestions for improvement then please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Thanks!

hi. well, more headings for one things, keyboard short cuts for your buttons and menus, a skip to main content for starters.

Thank you for your feedback.
I’m going to do some testing of my own and report back to our team. Would it be OK if I followed up with you at the email address on file for your WordPress.com account?
Thanks!

hi. sure, that would be fine to do a follow up via e-mail. have no problem with that. marvin.
