Word Press account question
-
Hello,
I have an old Word Press account that I do not use. Recently I was hired by an online publication that uses Word Press. They provided me with a password to enter the site and access their materials.
I’m concerned that the login that they registered me for is the same one for my old account. When I try to login all I can see is the old account. The password provided to me by my employer does not work.
I have considered deleting my old account. Would that allow me to access the account my employer created for me under the same email, or would I need to register it to another email.
Thanks!

Hi –
Don’t delete anything.
What is the URL of your old site? And what’s the URL for the new company site?
-
My old url : aussiana.wordpress.com
New Company site: the urbanist.wordpress.com

Hi there,
I’m only seeing your username,
aussianaadded to one site. It sounds like the new company either provided you with a different username or is not using WordPress.com.Can you confirm the new URL ends in
.wordpress.comotherwise, it could be a self-hosted WordPress site using the software from WordPress.org.If the site is a WordPress.com site then please sign out of WordPress.com from https://wordpress.com/me then log back in as the new users.
