Word Press Error Setting Up Site
-
I bought a domain through Google Domains and tried to set up a site using Word Press through Host Gator while following a YouTube tutorial, but because I hadn’t owned the domain for 60 days, it wouldn’t allow me to transfer the domain, so I cancelled my Host Gator account. I did some research and found out that I could use Bluehost since they are affiliated with Google Domains, and I wouldn’t have to transfer the domain, so I set up a Bluehost account and when I go to edit my site with Word Press, I keep getting a message stating ‘It looks like there is already a site at verum-black.com. Please select a different location.’ I never actually got to do anything while on Host Gator, but it did ask me to select the domain, so I’m assuming this is why I’m getting this message. This is getting very frustrating, just trying to set up my new site. Could you please help me get everything situated so I can start editing my site.

Hi there,
It looks like you’re in the wrong forum. It appears that you’re using the open-source WordPress software and you need to seek help at these forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the WordPress software you can read this document:

This is the forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. We can only help if you have a site hosted with us, or a domain registered through us, and you don’t have either.
If you’re getting errors on either Hostgator or Bluehost when trying to connect your existing domain to a site on their servers, you’ll need to contact their respective support teams directly for help. But we cannot help with this as we don’t have access to either Bluehost or Hostgator’s servers, nor to your domain at Google Domains.
The WordPress.org forums that @fstat linked to above is to get help with the WordPress software, not for help with hosting-issues – only your hosting provider can help with those.
