Word Press Support

Hello, while I appreciate the community, we are paying premium price for a website by Word Press. I paid for and took a course on Word Press, now the platform has greatly changed making that education I paid for irrelevant. Word Press has no support for its product even though we pay for using it. Who made the executive decision to change how Word Press works? Why do we pay for a site with no tech support? Why do they push all this off on the users to provide their own tech support? Please reply, I want to actually speak with someone at Word Press. thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Can you post a link to the site you need help with?

  • Hi there,

The account you’re using to post here has never purchased any upgrades from WordPress.com, and http://japentz.wordpress.com/ is on our free plan.

I see you are also an admin on the site hcclimateaction.org which has a Premium Plan, but the Premium Plan on that site belongs to the user, hcclimateaction, and only that user has access to live chat and email support under that plan. If that is also your account, please log into that account and then you’ll be able to access the paid support included in that plan.

We do not offer any paid courses on WordPress.com. If you took a course provided by a third party, it was most likely based on the open source WordPress software, not WordPress.com. Even if it was based on WordPress.com, we cannot take responsibility for the content of courses created by individuals or organisations that are in no way affiliated with us.

The only official documentation for WordPress.com are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/

Who made the executive decision to change how Word Press works?

To which change specifically are you referring? Both the free, open source WordPress software and WordPress.com are constantly changing. That is how software works – as the coding languages and technology evolves, the software also has to evolve or else it will stop working.

There has not recently been any significant changes to the WordPress.com platform.
