WordAds

    Hi,

How do I set up ads to appear on my website? All I see is ”Set up ads for your website”.

And when I go to wordads on settings, all I see is something about being a US resident. I click the banner that appears on the website and a link tells me that the domain is approved but ads aren’t appearing.

It’s so confusing can anyone help please?

    Thanks,

    Ray

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Ray, I’m seeing our ads on that site. It sounds like you were just going through setup, and once that’s done it can take a little while for ads to populate.

    Are you still having trouble?

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me!

All I am seeing is still the ”Make money off your wordpress blog” advertisement. I logged out and tried on my phone and still the same add.

  • Hi Ray,

It might help to understand a bit about how ads work first: When someone visits your site, advertisers bid on the available ad space in real time at that moment. The advertiser with the highest bid gets to show their ad. Which advertisers bid, and how much, depends on various factors, including the location of the person viewing your site, any cookies in that person’s browser and whether or not that person clicked Accept on the cookie notice, which would allow us to show them targeted ads rather than generic ones, etc.

If you’re only seeing our in-house ads when viewing your site, it means advertisers are not bidding at that moment. But it doesn’t mean they’re not bidding at all. They might be bidding on traffic for other visitors on your site, and our system shows you are getting ad impressions.

But I notice your site has very little traffic, which makes it less likely that advertisers will bid consistently. At current traffic levels you’re looking at a few cents a month of revenue, even if paying ads were showing every single time.

So at this point, focus on creating good quality content, and building your readership. As the traffic grows, so will your ad income.
