WordAds

Hi, I read on this page: https://wordads.co/?utm_source=houseads&utm_campaign=3-1C

that: ‘We’ve now opened the WordAds platform to self-hosted WordPress sites through Jetpack Ads, available as part of the Jetpack plugin’

I submitted mine which are ALL:

On the same website I read:

    To be eligible for WordAds:

Your blog must be set as public
It must have a custom domain as the primary. Or, be self-hosted and using Jetpack.
You must be the owner of the blog

All my websites I submitted are:

    – Public
    – self-hosted and using Jetpack.
    – I am the owner

Yet I got a note saying that none of them are eligible. How come?
    Here they are:
    Submitted applications

    TravelArtPix.com (Submitted on Sep. 30, 2019)
    GiftSmart.com (Submitted on Sep. 30, 2019)
    Travelways.com (Submitted on Sep. 30, 2019)
    VegasGreatAttractions.com (Submitted on Sep. 30, 2019)
    HealthBenefitsofWater.com (Submitted on Sep. 30, 2019)

Would you please clarify this? Thanks

  • Hi there,

Where are you seeing they’re not eligible? The fact that you were able to submit WordAds applications for all those sites confirms they all meet the requirements for application, and I’ve confirmed we have pending applications for all of them in our system.

Eligible to apply is not the same thing as eligible to be approved, though – those site will only be approved for WordAds once they meet our minimum monthly traffic requirements, and the average monthly traffic on those sites are currently far below our minimum requirement.

Continue working on increasing your traffic to those sites, and they will be approved as soon as they meet the requirements.

Alternatively, you can get your applications approved immediately by upgrading those sites to the Jetpack Premium or Professional plan.

    Jetpack

However, note that to make any meaningful income with online ads you need tens of thousands of views a month, with any online ad service, not just WordAds.

Jetpack Premium costs $9 a month or $99 a year, and with your current traffic levels you’re unlikely to earn more than a few cents per month on any of these sites, so upgrading just for this is not worth it with your current traffic.
