WordAds CPM dropping/not showing from Oct 3-7
-
This is now the third time this issue has happened on my site, so I’m going to copy and paste the info from last time. Basically, my “ads served” has remained steady as usual but from Oct 3-7 my Avg. CPM went down to between 0.0-0.2. Obviously, this is a reporting issue but I want to make sure the revenue is accounted for like during the past two times this error happened.
From July: My “ads served” has remained within the normal realm for my site, but the displayed revenue suddenly plummeted yesterday and is showing as zero for today in both “average CPM” and “revenue.” A similar (though not exact) reporting issue happened last December and I’m hoping it’s just another glitch in reporting on WordAds’ side, but I wanted to bring it to your attention just in case.”

Any word on this? According to my jetpack stats, it appears I’m not going to be paid what I’m owed for advertising from Oct 3-7. Right now it’s reporting 0.81, 0.40, 0.36, 0.28 and 0.15 cents for those days and I don’t see this discrepancy accounted for on later days.

????
Can’t seem to get a response through the forum, AI chatbot, email or any other means. It’s been a week now. It would be nice to know if anyone has even looked at this.
-
I’ve been having a similar issue this month myself. I have a blog with lower traffic, but my ads served has still been good, but I’ve had a very low cpm for the month of October. It just suddenly went from about 0.20-0.25 down to 0.01 or 0.02 most days. Mine still hasn’t recovered. I don’t know if my issue is the same problem as yours, but I’ve been wondering if other people had noticed anything similar or if it was just me.

Well, apparently WordPress is not currently responding to any need for support. I’ve been trying to get in touch with them for ten days now through various means. Hopefully they can look at this asap because right now we’re being denied earnings…

Hi there! I wanted to let you know that we got your question about WordAds and are checking on this. Our team will take a look and reply here with any updates.

Any progress on this? It’s been five days and no word. Oct 3-7 are still not reporting accurate earnings. Would be nice to know what’s going on.
-
While it’s nice to know that someone is looking at this (are they?), it’s now been almost twenty days since I first contacted you about this issue and nothing’s been done. There hasn’t even been any communication beyond the one response in this thread.
I apologize for bumping this thread again and again, but it’s the only way I’ve gotten any sort of response. Chat and emails have been completely ignored. The earnings are still unreported and I’m concerned because we’re coming up to the end-of-month cutoff date for payout. Will WordAds just be pocketing this revenue themselves?

It is not solved, nor has there been any communication beyond the one reply above (eleven days ago…)

Hello there!
Thank you for your patience while we looked into this matter.
We wanted to let you know that one of our advertising partners has recently closed their advertising business, which has had an impact on the CPM.
We totally understand if this has raised some concerns for you! However, I’m happy to reassure you that this dip in earnings is just a temporary situation. The CPM is expected to return to normal in just a few weeks.
Let us know if you have any questions.
-
Does that explain the dip to between 0.00-0.02 average CPM from Oct. 3-7th? My stats still report between 27,000-40,000 ads served during each of those days. Was there truly no revenue generated from ads on those days? As far as I can tell, that’s basically what my dashboard is showing. That seems highly suspect and I’m just concerned I’m not being paid revenue that was actually collected on those five days.
-
That is correct! Revenue was not generated for that period.
The ads served stats that you see must be for in-house ads.
We display in-house ads when there are no bidders for that particular ad slot. These ads do not earn any revenue but fill the ad spaces that would otherwise be empty.
