Wordads Earning Report For June

Hello, I just saw the Wordads earning report for June 2017 and it’s a big cut and it’s discouraging considering all the effort one puts in.
What’s the reason for the drop?
We got more visitors and more views!!!!

Hi @houseofacegroup, as @justjennifer pointed by sharing previous threads, views and visitors are just one factor in earnings. Advertisers bid to put ads on your site. The price they pay depends on many things:
– whether your content is a good fit for their ads
– whether your traffic is a good fit
– demand for ad spaceKeep building your following and keeping them engaged with great content, and while there still will be some fluctuation in ad prices, you’ll do well over time.

It is clear that there might be gap between monthly revenues due to several factors but JUNE earnings are suspiciously low!!!! extremely suspiciously especially since we are not aware what WORDPRESS earns on our back!

Yes we totally agree and we are glad we aren’t the only ones who noticed. The earnings didn’t meet up at all. We got way better stats in terms of visitors and views from the previous month of May.
We expected a higher return but it was halved.

It’s appalling. WordPress needs to get better advertising customers because with these kind of reports, one can no longer say with these impressions one can get a targeted amount.
What this also implies is that you can work so hard and get nothing for it.

Hi folks, I checked in for more details on these; in both cases the main variance is your traffic sources. Folks who want to place ads in certain regions will bid more to show ads in those areas. Because of this, some impressions will pay more than others.

Ok. Good point but here is the kicker. You get say 297k impressions from a country and u get 10quid. Then next month you get 310k impressions and you get 4quid.
That never adds up now does it???

It’s true that you need views for earnings, but if you think of it as a simple equation you will be frustrated. There are too many variables.
You don’t know who is going to have ad blockers on, for example, and we can’t pay for ads we can’t display. You can’t control exactly what advertisers want to sell, either.
Developing a steady following and a predictable audience can help a bit with the traffic sources factor, though.
