  This is ridiculous…

  August: 23.400 views, 15.000 visitors, 60423(?), Earnings: 4.79$

  Hi there,

  I asked our ads team to check on this and those figures are correct. The impressions are up so drastically because you’ve enabled the additional ad units on your site, meaning now 3 ads show on every page.

  The earnings, however, is also accurate. Advertising rates fluctuate constantly. The online ads system is similar to the stock market where advertisers bid in real time.

  Rates are vastly different depending on the country the viewer is visiting from. For example, we’re paid in dollars per thousand impressions in the US, but we’re only paid in cents per thousand impressions in other parts of the world. The majority of traffic on your site for August is not from the US, which is the reason for the low earnings.

  Hi @kokkieh

  I have the Additional Ad Units since March… then put more ads do not necessarily generate more revenue? It is better off the option Additional Ad Units?

  You have a better chance with more ad units, as that pushes up your total impressions, but where the visitors are from has a much bigger impact overall.

  As I mentioned above, what advertisers pay depend on where views on your site come from, and they tend to pay more for views from the US and elsewhere. We have no control over that, but that’s just how the online advertising market works.
