  • Hi there!

Advertisers demand fluctuates like the stock market and the price advertisers are willing to pay fluctuates as well, it’s not a constant.

There are a lot of variables, e.g. visitor, visitor language, site language, classification of the content, pageviews per visitor, etc, so the number of visitors is not the only way to track if earnings are being low or high.

I have noticed, however, that almost 40% of traffic on your site comes from Europe so you’ll want to comply with the EU GDPR law by adding the Cookies & Consent banner to your site and increase the revenue. Here is some more information about that:

staff-mckluskey, I have added the cookies widget, I have observed my daily earnings report for some days now but no improvement, still CPM OF 0.01 or 0.02, even though I know its an estimated report, I don’t expect much difference from the monthly statement, is it that no company is bidding for my ads space, or my site was blacklisted or wordads no longer has advertising partners, I need sincere answers, it would help me plan well for my websites future with WordPress.

  • Ad earnings fluctuate, and many different things can impact it. Where your traffic comes from, whether or not those visitors allow tracking cookies, whether or not those visitors are using ad blockers in their browsers, which advertisers are bidding, how much those advertisers are bidding, and the overall trend in online advertising in general at the time, to just mention a few.

None of these things are in your (or our) control, so there is nothing you can do to improve earnings on your site.

The only thing you have control over is the quality of the content you publish, which has an impact on the amount of traffic you receive. Beyond that, it’s up to the online ads market how much you actually earn for that traffic.

“there is nothing you can do about it”.
Not the kind of reply I was expecting from a happiness engineer though, but probably the frank answer, OK noted.

Is there any direct link between CPM and the number of banners displayed per page

  • More banners displayed equals more impressions for sure, but like with any supply vs demand situation, advertisers may bid less per impression if there are more placements on the page.

Waw, this is a tricky one, according to your findings, which number of ads per page is the best compromise.

I just want better CPM rate and increase earnings, 0.01 CPM and over 500,000 monthly views with 40% Europe visits sounds like losser to me
