WordAds Impressions
-
Hello. We just created a new ‘premium’ website a few days ago and may upgrade to ‘business’ in the future depending on how things go.
Since the site is basically brand new, we are oftentimes going back and forth between the editor and live site to make sure everything is formatting properly. WordAds is currently enabled and we are seeing ads (but not clicking on them, of course). After reading the FAQ and some other information, it appears that CPM is the main source for revenue. Is this correct?
This leads us to our next question: if we’re refreshing our site while working on it, as mentioned above, will we be penalized or does the WordAds system automatically disregard our own impressions based on IP address, etc? We’ve used AdSense in the past and their advice was to definitely not click, but “self-impressions” were generally OK as long as they were not done in excess.
Site in question: https://depthsofthemind.com
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just wanted to clarify: in addition to the “View Site” option within the WordPress editor, we’ve been checking the live site using multiple browsers just to be certain it looks correct (alignment, formatting, etc).

Hi there,
If you’re logged in into the account no impressions will be recorded. Otherwise, you might be OK as long as you don’t do it in excess.

Thank you for the response, fstat. We’ll make sure to always be logged into our account any time we check the live site from now on.
