  Hello, I would like to know if I have an existing .ro domain and I want to put it on the wordpress site, can I put it on if I don’t have a purchased plan, but a free one? I would like to map it

  Hi there,

  You can absolutely map your custom domain to your WordPress.com site with or without a paid plan. You don’t need to buy a paid plan to have a custom domain here. You only need to upgrade to a paid plan if you need the features of that plan.

  One of the features of all of our paid plans is to allow users to set their custom domain as primary. If your custom domain is not primary, people will still end up at your site if they type your custom domain into the address bar.
