WordPress 3.2.1 issue with Youtube embedded video (Flash discontinued)

    Hi,

    New to the forums. Need help. I have a site with an embedded youtube video that no longer works because (apparently) Flash was discontinued in 12/20. The video actually works when users have flash still in their browsers, but not for a majority of users with Chrome or Firefox w/o flash. This is probably because the embedding code uses flash for the video? I don’t want to upgrade because the site still works and there’s a lot of content, and especially because I depend on the theme which is no longer available in current versions.

    Is there a way to manually or otherwise fix the Youtube embedded code so that it doesn’t use flash?

    If your site is running WP v3.2.1, then you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll find documentation and users who have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.
