wordpress 5.5 compatibility with mysql 8.4

  Hi,

  Currently, we are using WordPress ver 5.5.

  for infrastructure reasons, we must upgrade our MySQL from 8.0 to 8.4

  I saw in this link that WordPress 5.5 doesn’t support MySQL 8.1 and greater

  What will be the effect if I’ll upgrade MySQL to 8.4 anyway?
  What are the things that are not supported by WordPress in that version?

  We can’t answer your questions as you are talking about the open source wordpress.org. However version 5.5 is completely outdated and unsafe; you must upgrade asap to the current version 6.7
