WordPress 8.0.0 update crashing on mac mini 2

  M1 Pro MacBook Pro user here and the 8.0.0 is crashing too. I have uninstall the 7.2 without luck on running the v8.0.0. The app is crashing on Apple Silicon.

  Hi there, just wanted to update everyone that there is a fix in the works for this issue but it is in the final phase before we deploy it and make an update available. For now as a workaround you can use WordPress.com in the browser or via the app if you have a mobile device.

  I see that the version 8.0.1 is out and work fine (Mac Studio M1 Max). Thanks for the correction and the update 👍

  As some have mentioned, the WordPress.com Desktop App has released version 8.0.1 where this bug is resolved! You can install that update on your device by opening the app, then under the WordPress.com top bar menu clicking Check for Updates, or you can download the latest version from here:
