WordPress Access
-
Hi I already provide a user to access the powerformio.wordpress.com but the person could not access the site given even though given an admin and a contributor access to the site.
“User ___________ Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested” is displayed when accessing the site with the users credential :(
Any ideas on how to resolve the problem I have already given the account user access it should be able to access the site but it didn’t.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Can you tell us the Username of the user you’re looking to add please? The reason why I ask is because, this user would also need a WordPress.com account.
They would then need to be invited to the site as per these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/invite-people/
I hope this information is helpful thus far.
Many thanks in advance!

Hey there,
Thanks for getting back to me.
@aleone89 The user was already invited that is what is bugging me why it still cannot access? I could PM you the username but can’t find the private message button Hehehe :)
We can redact the username once it’s posted, or you can share the email address associated with the account, and only staff will be able to see the email address.
Looking at that screenshot – it sounds like the user is not perhaps signed into the WP Admin section of the site, if they were to go to Plugins > Installed Plugins, does that resolve that message?
I’m hoping this helps so far.

It seems that you haven’t invited the user to the website https://wordpress.com/people/team/powerformio.wordpress.com
If there was a pending invitation, it would be visible there. However, I can see that you have successfully added them to your other website, cormanttech.wpcomstaging.com. Therefore, you should be able to follow the same process to add them there.
If you continue to experience difficulties, please capture a screenshot of the user invite page and any error messages you encounter. If you’re unsure how to take a screenshot, you can refer to this support document for instructions:
A screenshot is an image that captures what appears on your computer screen. Screenshots can come in handy when trying to explain something to Support, or if you want to blog about something you’ve seen on your computer screen. No matter what operating system you use, you can make a screenshot in just a few steps. Thanks!

This make things clear :)

For every site different invites. I was thinking of just inviting users once then all the new sites will be given access immediately.

Hi there,
For every site different invites. I was thinking of just inviting users once then all the new sites will be given access immediately.
When you invite a user to a specific site on your WordPress.com account, it only grants them access to that particular site. Inviting a user to one site does not automatically extend the invitation to all the other sites on your account.
Each site on your account functions independently, and the invitation process is designed to provide you with control over who has access to each individual site.
To invite a user to another site within your account, you’ll need to repeat the invitation process for that particular site.
I hope this explanation clears up any confusion. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. We’re here to help.
