WordPress Account Email Change – Journey Error

I have tried to change the email address on my WP account to two different emails. In both cases I am receiving a message in the online admin dashboard that my email needs to be confirmed by email, but the email I receive says if the change was made by me, don’t do anything. There’s no confirmation link:
Hi there, We recently received a request to change the email address for the WordPress.com user jeffersonreal from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff). If you made this request, you can safely ignore and delete this email. If you did not request this change, please respond to this email immediately. Regards, All at WordPress.com https://wordpress.com/I waited a couple of days the first time I tried but still the same. I’m assuming this is an error as waiting days for a change to drop through with no confirmation seems unusual for an email change.

Hi there,
The email you quoted above is the email we send to your current email address.
We also send another email to the new email address. This second email contains the confirmation link you need to click.
What is the new email address you’re trying to change to? If you haven’t received anything at that address, it most likely went into your spam folder, or was otherwise filtered by your email provider. Gmail, for example, often filters our emails to the Social of Updates folders, bypassing the inbox.

Hey,
Wow this is embarrassing. The new email is an alias and therefore all emails enter the same inbox. From some reason MS had decided the pass reset link email was spam, but the one above wasn’t, so I hastily assumed it was the only email WP had sent.
MS spam filters are so aggressive, most of my legit mail gets spammed.
Really sorry about that, but thanks so much for your quick response – and making me check my spam (doh!).
