WordPress Address Broke Site
-
Hi I am working on a site for a client and I thought they had a domain setup separate from the admin and I was showing a preview of the site to the client when he asked about the name being incorrect. I went into the settings>General and changed the site title and WordPress Address(URL) to their name . After i changed it to their name it said the site does not exist but I now I don’t have an option to be able to edit the settings to fix the problem. Is there you can do to fix this problem?

I changed it to vanguard instead of “aphockey.tempurl.host/, so it will not allow me to access the backend -
Hi @justin6c0b498bc0 thanks for that info!
Unfortunately we’re not able to help directly in this case. For us to be able to help you would need to be hosted on our WordPress.com servers in order for us to be able to take a closer look.
Because we’re a managed host, we use a different system for changing site URLs than you find with WordPress sites from other providers (they use the open source version of the platform) which is my other clue that you may not be hosted with us. The good news though is that this is something that can be undone, but you will need assistance from someone who is familiar with the settings of the version of WordPress you have.
You can find that help here: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
