WordPress adds a random link to my post

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

Today, WordPress started adding on a random link to the bottom of all of my new posts. It doesn’t matter which layout I select or if I decide to build from scratch using Divi. I’ve had this site for years with Divi and never had this issue. I haven’t found a way to delete the link. The link loops back to the post that it’s on.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions with this issue. I’ve published a post that has the issue. Thank you.

  • Hello there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

This site isn’t hosted with WordPress.com so our support overall is limited in this instance, but if it were hosted with WordPress.com, we’d able to trace some steps as to how they got added – that said, when I look at the site, I no longer see this link.

To explain, there’s two types of WordPress. The first is WordPress.com, where we provide daily backups, automatic updates, a 24/7 support service and an optimised version of WordPress. The second is self-hosted WordPress, where the free open source version of the software is installed onto a server.

More on the differences can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

It’s possible to migrate the site over to WordPress using our migration plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpcom-migration/ and the site would need to be on the business plan.

    I hope this helps.
