WordPress admin pages layout

  Does anyone else hate the most recent update of the WordPress admin pages layout?
  It’s absolutely awful. I used to be able to quickly upload and image or document using the toolbar that appeared above the page – now it’s gone and it takes so much longer to upload anything. Can we revert to the previous layout please?
