WordPress advertisement is blocking my menu
-
I can’t seem to get rid of the ‘Create your website at WordPress.com’ header. The site menu at the top is obstructed by the ad. After browsing the forums, I understood that it can be removed by upgrading to a Premium plan. But since this blog is for my personal use, a free plan is enough for me. Is there a way to at least make my top menu visible?

Hi there, what’s the address of the site this is happening on?
Any upgrade will remove advertisements and WPcom tries to only show ads in selected places and usually to logged out users.

Hi there – Thanks for bringing this to our attention! I see it when I view your site at candideapples.wordpress.com (terrific name by the way!).
I’ve notified our team which works on these. I can’t guarantee a fix or turnaround time, but we’ll post to this thread as soon as we have an update to share. Thanks so much for your patience in the meantime.

@meghana03iyengar I’ve received word that this should now be fixed. You should no longer see the ‘Create your website at WordPress.com’ banner covering up your live site menu, or your site menu within Customize as you work on your site’s layout.
Again, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention.
