WordPress amateur trying to solve double click anchor ID issue. Please help!

I’m having an issue with some anchor links I’m using. They only work after being clicked twice and obviously this is not ideal.
Unfortunately I do not have much ability/knowledge when it comes to html, javascript etc but if you walk me through it or point me to it, I’d be greatly appreciated.
I’d love to add the HTML code for the button but to be frank, I can’t seem to get it to work…
