WordPress Analytics World Map Representation
-
The World Map which WordPress uses for analytics representation has a wrong and distorted map of India. India’s map is wrongfully demarcated on it. I was requesting a correction in it. Please use India’s official map to represent India on WordPress.

Hi there,
The map visualization we use for our stats is constructed with a third-party charting tool, Google’s Geochart. This tool is described in detail here: https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/geochart
Because of this, we do not have control over where map boundaries are demarcated, and cannot make a specific change on our end. To change this you will need to request that Google make the adjustment on their end, and then you will also see it reflected here automatically
Please note that while our Stats are using Geochart, WordPress.com or Automattic does not take a position on territorial disputes in China or elsewhere. Hope this helps!

I objected because India’s Map was very wrongfully displayed on it but I get what you are saying. A lot of Indians use WordPress and such things can harm WordPress’s reputation. How can we reach out to Google about this. Is there a way?
