WordPress and HostGator

    Hello Everyone!
First i would like to thanks the people that takes the time to check my question :)!

So im thinking in creating a WP webpage, nevertheless i read through out different webpages and sites that the best thing to do is to buy a HostGator package (specifically Baby Package http://www.hostgator.com/shared) and then install WP through out cPanel – Quick install, since this will let me install plugins, use Widget, look for some different themes, etc.

My question is: If i do so, my wordpress webpage would me a WP Beggining, WP Premium or WP Business account? Which benefits would i get from actually buying the HostGator package and not using WP directly?

Thanks again and sorry if the question isn’t to clear. I know very little about computers, domains etc.

    Have a good day people!

    Hi, Ricardo!

There are 2 ways to do WordPress: hosted here at WordPress.com or self-hosted (.org). The way that you want to do it is the self-hosted route, so you need to ask your question at the self-hosted WordPress support forum which is at http://wordpress.org/support/

Just create an account there if you don’t already have one and they should be better able to help you there.

For more info about the differences between .com and .org, see here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Good luck!
