WordPress and mailchimp connection help, HTML

  Following up from my previous inquiry–I contacted Mailchimp, and they said something like i need a wordpress.org site not wordpress.com. What is the real difference and why cnt i edit html in wordpress.com? Do I need to upgrade my account???

  You can’t use the code provided by Mailchimp but WordPress.com offers you 2 solutions, https://en.support.wordpress.com/mailchimp/
