WordPress and RSS feeds
-
I am quite new to blogging. I have a website with guitar lessons and I am trying to create a blog spin-off that takes advantage of web 2.0. Do I need to manually create feeds? I noticed that most blogs have various feeds. You can have feed for a post for a list of recent posts, etc, etc. I am just uncertain how to proceed in this area…
thanks,
brian

the link you posted in your post is not a wp.com blog. please give your wp.com blog url if you have one…

The only blog I can find on your site’s the 1 hosted in BS. We’ll only answer questions ’bout the blog hosted in WP.

Your wordpress blog will automatically create a feed. For instance, one blog feed would be http://matt.wordpress.com/feed/
Pretty simple there actually.

So, from the previous posts here, can I assume that my RSS feed address would be my WP address with /feed/ added at the end?

> For instance, one blog feed would be http://matt.wordpress.com/feed/Trent: I’ve only investigated feeds in a cursory fashion so far, but the concept of the outgoing feed seems simple enough. But what about the other side of the coin? I’ve managed to set up a couple incoming feeds in my sidebar, thanks to the WP RSS widget, but I’d much prefer to be able to have all incoming feeds aggregated together. Not necessarily in the sidebar. In a page (as opposed to a post) maybe?

If you have a request to make for a new feature to be added the process is to bring it to staff attention http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ -
I have followed all the instructions I can find on how to create a link to my RSS reed on my sidebar via the text widget, but I cannot get the little icon to show up with nor get the link to actually go where it should… any suggestions?

@quartzy123
Really? Well, where did you look? And what exactly do you want to do?
I looked in the FAQs and forum search box and found these results http://faq.wordpress.com/?s=RSS+feed
