WordPress app for Android phones

I have the WP app on my Android phone, on which I continue to use the Classic blog editor. (I should add that I’m on the autistic spectrum and find change difficult.)

After recent changes in the app’s appearance (and a little before that) I’m finding odd glitches when I view published posts.
    1. Occasionally I may find a deleted image from a previous edit placed at the head of a post in the app (though not in the online version).
    2. I am now finding that the app sometimes ignores some paragraphing when I view it (again, not in the online version) — either line breaks are ignored or paragraphs are all run together.

While these are not disastrous glitches (the published online version is as intended) it’s most disconcerting when editing and I worry that further glitches may creep in unless these are pointed out.

I’ve tried force-stopping and then reinstalling the app, and that appears to have sorted a couple of recent posts where I had the problems. I’ll keep monitoring this, but I’d be grateful for any input.

  • Hey there, would you be willing to reach out to app support directly? That way they’ll see what version you’re running, which editor you’re using, etc. You can do that through the profile icon > Help. Using that route will include some helpful diagnostics.

Also: is this just one post that’s affected, or several? And do you edit these posts only in the app or in a combination of the app and in a browser? I’m wondering if there’s some conflict between the two. You can update us here with that info, too, but if you’ll let the app support know those details directly as well, that will be helpful.
