WordPress App for iPad keeps freezing and then crashing

  WordPress App for iPad keeps freezing and then crashing. I load the WordPress app start to do some work, then it just freezes then after a short while the program will crash. I have reverted to using WordPress via safari as I keep loosing my work. This is very annoying as I quite often write my blog when I’m offline, i.e. On a plane for example, but I am unable to do this now because of this problem.

  Hi Bob –

  Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the frustration. I have a few follow up questions that will help me better investigate the problem.

  1. What version of the app are you using?
  2. Is there a specific action preceding the crash – like uploading an image or copy + paste, etc… Any details would be helpful for me to try and replicate it on my end.
  3. Is there an error message with the crash?
  4. Does reinstalling the app help? Or working from a different network?

  Thanks for the reply. I am using version 7.1 on my iPad.This happens whether I am online or not and is mostly when I am typing the program just stops and will not respond to commands. I have tried waiting a while but then the program just closes. I must admit I haven’t tried reinstalling but I will. I am currently away on my travels so I will do this on my return “WiFi a bit hit and miss here” I am currently blogging via the WordPress website using safari and all is ok

  Thank you for the update. I’ll leave this thread open so that you can let me know if the app reinstallation works. I’m curious as to how much free storage space remains on the device as well.

  Hi, I have just returned from my travels and have deleted and reinstalled the WordPress app on my iPad, now all appears to be working fine. Thank you for the excellent support
