WordPress Astra theme premium templates do not work

  Hello, I am new to wordpress, I have a brand new wordpress account. With literally nothing on it. I paid for the astra essential bundle that comes with the very popular elementor and the astra starter themes.

  I download the premium astra theme that you normally pay for, it shows this under elementor editing, which is compatible with the free version so no pro version needed to pay for. It downloads all the plugins for that theme needed as a pre set site template. When I go to edit it on the customise section, I can literally do nothing. I can delete everything, move it anywhere and it will not show any preview or show it being done, and it just wont do anything.. Itll show on my end as an example on header section I can delete the logo element box on editing, but it will not mirror this on the site and stays the same.

  I just dont get it, the easiest thing to start with is a website template, and Im stuck at the very beginning. All plugins are uptodate, word press uptodate, tried switching all plugins off, but theres only the essential ones to make the templates actually work.. however I switched them off and one at time on, nothing happens.

  Ive tried all plugin tools to diagnose any issues, none come up. I spoke to my web hosting, I ma nowhere near any thresholds (brand new site so dur)

  I just dont get it. I can edit on the free templates/wordpress block type website, but all of these are free and its not why I paid for the premium version to have those templates. Its as soon as I want to get the premium one to use and it just wont let me edit. Ive tried different premium ones and nothing works.

  As an added note when it puls through to word press and I click customise, the logo section always appears broken link, bottom of page has a major error. It all seems just overly complicated for something thats meant to make web design easy.

  Im at a end of a road, can not think of anything. Ive reset word press completely and tried it from scratch but it just doesnt work.

  Is there anyone can help. This is literally ridiculous…….. 3 days straight with nothing to show for it, not a single word typed or image uploaded……..

  Sorry to hear that you have been having this much trouble. Sadly we can’t help directly because we don’t host your site on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.

  Instead your host (Siteground) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically, we don’t offer Astra or Elementor on WordPress.com (unless you upgrade to our Business Plan) which is my other clue that you are using a different version of WordPress than we offer here.

  The good news is that help is available at the open source community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

  The folks in that forum are most familiar with the variant of WordPress your host uses, and are in the best position to help. Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
