wordpress bar on my page – irritating – how to remove?

Please know that the faint new weird useless irritating bar that appears at the bottom of my blog screen page now ‘advertising’ what I already know (title of blog, my theme – i guess also advertising wordpress) takes up my visual space – for no good reason! PLEASE tell me how to make that go away! I am 60 years old, vision going – need my screen to SEE what I wish to see – please help and thank you very much!

You are not allowed to remove or hide the footer credits at wordpress.com. Even the VIP sites here, which pay thousands per month have to leave the credit there.

I think you are referring to the infinite scroll po-up in the footer. If you disable infinite scroll it will disappear. Instead there will be a [load more post] box at the ne of your front page. See here > http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/06/12/to-infinity-and-beyond/

Infinite scrolling is being rolled out theme by theme. Obviously your theme just got hit with it.
