WordPress Beginner – Please Help – Disappearing Pages!
-
I’ve created my first blog, and everything has been going good so far except for one thing. I created 4-5 pages which were initially visible with links at the top of every page so they could be accessed by readers easily. Now, they seem to have mysteriously disappeared! I’m just a beginner at this stuff, and if someone could help, I’d be most sincerely thankful! Thank you!

Hi Jessica,
You can arrange your static Pages and sub-pages (child pages) in hierarchies. When you create Pages (parent pages) the links normally show up in Bueno in the horizontal navigation bar.If you create Pages and assign them to be sub-pages or “child” pages of a Parent page then the links in the Bueno theme will be found in dropdowns under the Parent pages you assigned them to when you hover over the Parent page links.
Does this help? http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/

timethief,
Unfortunately I don’t think so. First, I don’t necessarily want them as ‘sub-pages’ of a particular parent page. Before the disappearance I had a video page, a share page, a consulting page, etc. All of which showed up in the header horizontal link bar (where Home and RSS reside now). For some reason they all disappeared. I checked each page and they are all set on ‘published’ with no parent.Hmmm… very frustrating.

As you can locate the Pages in the page edit screen and they don’t appear in the horizontal menu then have you created a Custom Menu? Just to eliminate a possible cause: go to Appearance >Menus, check the “Theme Locations” module and make sure the Primary Menu or Secondary Menu isn’t selected in the dropdown.

YAY! I see your Pages. I’m so happy I remembered that Panos had suggested this to another blogger and it worked for him and for you too. Happy blogging! :)
