WordPress blog followers error?

  Regarding my WordPress Blog: https://imaginarius13.wordpress.com/
  I just noticed on my Imaginarius home page that the number of followers listed there is ’54’. I find that strange because as of August 1 of this year, there were over 700 followers! I also checked screen shots from June of this year at the Wayback Machine and saw over 600 followers. Yes, I know people can drop off as they wish, but the discrepancy is just plain weird. Can you please help me understand what has changed?

  The count of followers on a site also includes any social profiles connected under Publicize. Since Facebook stopped allowing personal profiles to connect, this might affect your follower number. Did you previously have your personal Facebook connected and have about 600ish friends?
