wordpress blog has been hacked?

Suddenly there are all these awful hyperlinks to ads on my wordpress site.
I can’t see them in ‘edit’ mode but otherwise there they are. Yikes! What do I do?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You’re likely seeing ads due to having a free plan. If you want to remove them, you might want to think about upgrading to a personal plan, premium plan, or business plan based on your needs.

Thank you! I figured it out . . . somehow, I had downloaded some sort of app (?) called viewmyPDF. It was making ads pop up in new tabs on my browser (Chrome), and it also was causing certain words (like “group” and “culture”) in the blog itself to be hyperlinked with a double underline. So strange!
I figured out how to un-install it and now the blog is back to normal. Phew.
