WORDPRESS BLOG NOT SHOWING IN GOOGLE SEARCHES

The URL for my blog was originally leotardsandlipstick.wordpress.com (free plan). However, I realised that I forgot to add an ‘s’ at the end so I changed my blog URL about a week ago to ‘leotardsandlipsticks.wordpress.com. Now, my blog doesn’t appear in google searches and the only way of viewing it online is if someone clicks on the link directly (I added the links to my social media pages). Otherwise the old URL pops up and says the site doesn’t exist anymore. I’m a new blogger and only have two posts published. I’m worried that because of my stupid error of adding a single letter, I now will have to delete my blog and start over. I checked the box in settings to make my blog public so that’s not the problem. I really feel like I’m missing out on a lot of potential readers by not having my blog pop up on google searches. Please help!

Please, know that it may take a few weeks till Google updates its index. Creation of new websites, or changing of domains are not immediately picked up by Google and other search engines.
