WordPress blog stuck on import process for more than 24 hours.

  Hi, we’re trying to import our blog back to wordpress.com from self-hosted wordpress site. So I went through all the steps necessary and exported the data from self-hosted site. Then I imported this data into new wordpress.com blog and now it’s stuck with message “We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.”. It’s been more than 36 hours already and we don’t have any of our content imported. Can you please help us? Thank you.

  I had a similar problem, attempting to import from a self-hosted blog, and had the same response. I contacted “support” yesterday, as suggested, which brought me to this forum. I had one response, promising to refer this to a WP staff member. Now, 24 hours later, I’ve still had no response.
