WordPress blog to Anchor Podcast

  Tried to follow the direction offered in your video to convert some of our blog postings on WordPress to Anchor podcasts. Nothing works for me like they do in the video. For example, I get no link box to click on either site. So, how do I do it? I’m logged into both sites.

  Or do you mean a different video you are viewing? If so please share a link to the video in question so we can take a closer look.

  Today I get an email touting this text-to-voice podcast service from Anchor. It says to go to the dashboard and hit the WordPress.com image link… Don’t see one anywhere. So far I’m unimpressed. What’s the deal? Am I the only one?

  This is an email that you received from WordPress.com or from Anchor directly?

  It sounds like you have already created an account with Anchor.fm separately which may be the issue here. Please log out of your Anchor.fm account, then visit this page, which will allow you to connect your WordPress.com site to their service: https://anchor.fm/wordpressdotcom

  Clicking the “get started” button on that page will prompt you to create a new AnchorFM account</em (existing Anchor accounts cannot connect to WordPress.com), and then once you authenticate your connection you can pick which of your sites you want to convert into podcast.

  It all works fine until…when I try to create a new account, with new user name, email addy and password, prove I’m not a robot…click on the “Sign Up” button…and nothing happens. Every other link works…so I dunno… I’m increasingly not impressed.

  Hmm, that sounds pretty frustrating. To clarify, is this something you are seeing within the Anchor interface? Is there a screenshot you can share of what you are seeing? It sounds like the issue is that you are not able to finalize the creation of the Anchor FM account, since that step does not sound like it happens within WordPress.com.
